Welcome to my site! I’m glad you stopped by. If your interests include all things real estate, fashion and horror then you have come to the right place. I’m Alex Holgate and I am an artist, realtor and occasional physics and fashion commentator based out of Toronto, Ontario. At the age of 20 I got myself started in the business of real estate and gained expertise in property management for luxury homes as well as long and short-term rentals. Within a year of managing luxury properties on Airbnb I had over 100 stays in the books for a single unit and achieved Superhost status with a 4.89 star review average. Spinning the proverbial string into gold is at the core of what I do best! I am a problem-solver who enjoys taking on large complex issues and turning them into easily understandable solutions. As a physics and art history major from the University of Toronto you can count on me for detail-oriented and well-researched support. I pride myself on being someone who understands people, numbers and trends, which are all essential qualities when you’re looking for a winning realtor. I strive to provide the highest quality of service towards meeting your needs whether it is real estate or photography.
Being an accomplished debater makes me well-versed in the art of negotiation. My top debating achievements include having served as the deputy chief adjudicator for the Women’s North American Debate Championships and the Canadian National Debate Championships. I am an internationally recognized debating coach and judge who has adjudicated at the World Universities Debate Championships for several years. In 2017 I had the honour of winning the best debating class award from the National High School Debate League of China for my coaching abilities in helping my students succeed.
In addition to my debating success I am a contributor in both the field of physics and photography. Recent publications include research I have done on physics and COVID-19 published by the University of Toronto and guest speaking at the Perimeter Institute. These can be found on my publications page. In other recent news, my directorial debut will be dropping soon in the form of my satirical horror short film, Closing Day. As a long time fan of horror this is a project I am very excited to share with the world and reflects the grim realities of the Toronto real estate market.
If you have read this far I want to take the time to mention that animal welfare is an important cause to me and I am currently a foster mom with the AbbeyCats cat rescue. I have found several kitties their forever homes in the past few years and don’t plan on slowing down. I believe that animals do so much more for us than we can ever give back to them and helping every life makes a difference!
If this resonates with you, Abbeycats is always looking for donations and volunteers to support cats in need. More information can be found by clicking here if you are interested in making a difference in a fur baby’s life. Your generosity goes a long way towards supporting kitties like Isla (pictured on the left) with food, medical care and so much more. I want to thank you in advance for any support you choose give. It really makes a world of a difference to them!
If you are interested in hiring me for your real estate, photography or public speaking needs please don’t hesitate to connect with me through my email or socials. At the end of the day I am a firm believer that what you do is more important than what you say so allow me the opportunity to demonstrate this and help you achieve your goals!
Yours Truly,
